The man behind the music
About Johnny York
Raised on Dirt Roads & Honest Music
Johnny York is a singer-songwriter raised in the hollows of the Ozarks hills and settled in the farmlands of North Florida. His music draws from the deep well of American roots — country, folk, a little bit of the blues with some rock mixed in and from his Military service— delivered with the kind of plain-spoken honesty that only comes from living it.
He picked up his first guitar at fourteen and never really put it down. Over the years he's played in churches, front porches, and festival stages, writing songs about the people and places that shaped him — small towns, long drives, hard work, and the ones you love.
His debut album, Odds and Ends, released in July 2026, is a collection of eight original songs that feel like they've always existed — worn in, warm, and true.
"I just try to write songs that feel like something real. The kind you hear and think — yeah, I know that feeling."
